Pacesetter Award

The 2016 Pacesetter Award Recipient

Carpenter Technology Corporation is humbled by being named the recipient of the 2016 ASM Foundation Pacesetter Award. Our partnership with ASM is emphasized by our ongoing support to the organization’s educational component. We are honored to be recognized for the financial support we provide to the Materials Camp at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Carpenter’s support permits both students and teachers to attend the camps free of charge.

Carpenter Technology Corporation is a global leader in the development, manufacture, and distribution of cast/wrought and powder metal stainless steels and specialty alloys, including high temperature (iron-nickel-cobalt base), stainless, superior corrosion resistant, controlled expansion alloys, ultra-high-strength and implantable alloys, tool and die steels, and other specialty metals as well as cast/wrought titanium alloys. As the world leader in ultra-high strength, specialty metals for high stress environments, Carpenter has a strong foothold in the market largely because of its lucrative niche in specialty steel.

The Pacesetter Award was established in 2009 as an annual corporate award to honor organizations for continued service to the ASM Materials Education Foundation and to recognize their impact in supporting educational outreach efforts that encourage young people to pursue careers in materials science and engineering.

Purpose: To recognize organizations for their support of volunteers and financial resources toward materials, science and engineering education through ASM Materials Education Foundation.
