Lead by Dr Dianne Chong, President of ASM International, sixteen members of the Board of Trustees, Officers and staff of ASM International visited the Chicago Regional Chapter of ASM International after completing their Board Meeting earlier in the day.
Chicago Regional Chapter was delighted by the visit and the opportunity to exchange ideas and insights into ASM International during the Hospitality Hour. Just before the start of dinner, the sixteen visiting members were introduced to the local membership and Dr. Chong expressed her appreciation of the opportunity to visit with the members of Chicago Regional Chapter.
After the dinner, Membership Awards were presented to Members who had reached Five Year, Fifteen Year, Twenty-Five Year, and Life Membership in ASM International.

Chicago Regional is one of many Chapters that sponsor camps in various forms to acquaint students and teachers with Materials Science. Jan also introduced the membership to new internet site developments that are emerging from the Education Committee at the ASM International Headquarters level.
Chicago Regional Chapter of ASM International is blessed with two active Student Chapters, one at Illinois Institute of Technology and the other at Northwestern University.
