"A weekend of training, networking and fun for new chapter officers"

Leadership Days is a special training and development conference for ASM Chapter Officers held every summer at ASM Headquarters in Materials Park. Attendees participate in a variety of topical roundtable discussions, seminars and workshops with colleagues from around the country. This program provides an opportunity to meet and interact with members of the ASM Board of Trustees, the ASM Chapter Council and key staff members from headquarters.

Leadership Days is also a lot of fun, featuring a reception and dinner "under the dome" at Materials Park and providing numerous opportunities to make new acquaintances from throughout ASM’s chapter network. Leadership Days enables your chapter to invest in its future by developing the organizational and leadership skills of those volunteers who will be running your chapter in the near future.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

• At least every other year, ASM chapters are required to send at least one representative to Leadership Days in order to remain a "Chapter in Good Standing" and thereby qualify to receive annual membership rebates.
• Any member of the Executive Committee can fulfill the attendance requirement, though typically it is the incoming Vice Chair who attends.
• There is no registration fee, but attendees are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses (usually reimbursed by either the chapter or their employer).
