 Councils & Committees

ASM has more than 70 councils and committees that cater to various specialized industries.  ASM committees and councils run the gamut of ASM activities.  They also play an important part in determining future policies, programs and products in the materials industry.  The majority of ASM's Society Committees and Councils meet in the Fall at ASM's Annual Event (previously known as Materials Week).  It is the duty of the Committee Chair and Staff Liaison to inform committee members of actual meeting dates, times and locations well in advance of the meeting to allow the member to schedule time to attend.

ASM Strategic Plan

"We encourage you to carefully read the current plan, convey any thoughts about it to the Officers and Board, incorporate the current action plans in the planning of any ASM group in which you are involved, and consider what should be included in the 2004-05 Strategic Plan.  We, the Officers and Board of ASM International, look forward to your comments and active participation, now and in the future."
